Back on track: Two Mifflin County Pitchers Rally Together In Shutout Victory Against Fargo, ND

Mifflin County Babe Ruth 14U All-Stars defeated Fargo, ND – Midwest Plains Regional Champion 12-0 on Monday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Chase Leister induced a fly out from Eberling to finish off the game.

Reese Christine led Mifflin County to victory by driving in four runs. Christine went 2-for-3 at the plate. Christine drove in runs on a triple in the second and a triple in the seventh.

Mifflin County got things started in the first inning. An error scored one run for MC .

Mifflin County notched three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught by Mifflin County was led by Chase Hartung, Christine, and Logan Ruth, who each had RBIs in the inning.

One bright spot for Fargo, ND was a single by Deibert in the second inning.

Ruth led things off on the pitcher’s mound for Mifflin County Babe Ruth 14U All Stars. The bulldog allowed five hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out six and walking zero.

Deibert started the game for Fargo, ND – Midwest Plains Regional Champion. Deibert allowed five hits and five runs over three innings, striking out five. Pankratz, Salberg, and Schlucter each contributed in relief for Fargo, ND – Midwest Plains Regional Champion.

Mifflin County had 12 hits in the game. Ruth, Jayden Smith, Michael McNitt, and Christine all had multiple hits for Mifflin County Babe Ruth 14U All Stars. Christine, McNitt, Smith, and Ruth each collected two hits to lead Mifflin County.
