Physical Goals Goal Setting

Video Summary:

Across all disciplines and challenges, the use of goals that meet the S.M.A.R.T. criteria, are more likely to give you success.

Before you set goals, take the Basics Health Assessment or the Ambassadors Health Risk Assessment. Some suggestions for ways to think about Physical Fitness are

S is for specific. Pick and name the exercise you will be doing.

M is for measurable. Find a way to count them.

A is for achievable. Don’t overdo it and get too sore and quit.

R is for relevant. Have it be meaningful to your needs. Don’t work on weight loss if your weight is just fine.

T is for timely. Form a habit and try to do a goal for a whole month if you can. Then reassess and modify or add goals.
