Why I am a Force for Health® Member...

We are in a moment of great divisiveness. I am a Force for Health so my students can be involved in not just learning about issues, but using these crises to become learning opportunities for student engagement and actual problem solving.

How I use the Force for Health Network Tools

We use the Social Determinants of Health and the 400 Years of Slavery self study modules to start awareness and discussion.

The Lessons Learned book series with its online updated interactive supplements puts students in the middle of previous issues and disasters, which leads to discussion and self reflection assignments.

We then expose them to STEAM teams where they can be involved in IDEAS projects dealing with racial diversity (Advance the Dream), ecology and global warming awareness, space exploration, disaster preparedness, etc.
