Background

Bio and Background	Hi my name is Cedric Bagwell! I am a rising high school senior from Centre County, PA. During the school year, I swim competitively, serve on my school board, and engineer with my robotics team, among other things. Outside of those activities, I enjoy sewing and spending time with my friends in my free time. In the future, I want to become a doctor and/or work in medicine.
Why I am a Force for Health® Member...	I am a Force for Health group leader. With this position, I want to help make access to healthcare information and services more equitable. I plan to do this by working with underrepresented communities, to improve the quality of life for people who often are not appropriately treated in my community.
My inspiration	My friends and family inspire me the most. While cheesy the people closest to me have given me the drive and focus to make the world a better place.

Some of the factors that have been challenging for me have been...	At about age 9, I was diagnosed with severe food allergies and since then my experiences in life have been regulated by my access and ability to eat.
It's important for me to be part of my community's health because...	Coming from a poorer rural town, my peers often struggle to receive adequate healthcare. I feel as though if I am involved in helping improve the health of my community I can prevent the people around me from illness.
Some of the strength of my community health factors are:	My community does a good job at promoting physical activity in younger populations with a large majority of adolescents participating in sports/exercise in some form.
Some of the challenges in my community regarding certain health factors are:	A large problem is the access people have to proper nutrition. This often causes families who cannot afford a car to rely on fast food as my local community does not have a walkable way to a supermarket.
I believe I can help improve my community's health by...	I can help by providing access to healthier foods and educating people on all aspects of health.
