In this lesson, you will be given a brief overview of the CHW Training Program Structure.
This CHW Training Program is a blend of both online and hands-on learning.
The first part of this program includes 100 hours of didactic and problem-based online learning.
The second part of this program includes 55 hours of hands-on training under the supervision of several trained subject matter experts.
Modules 1 through 5 will be taught primarily online; however, there will be additional in-person training sessions to cover topics such as communication or teaching and coaching. Module 6 will briefly introduce you to the various life saving skills online, so that you are familiar with them before the hands-on training.
Upon completion of the program, CHW trainees will be required to sit for a state-administered written exam and skills exam in order to become certified.
