Force for Health STEAM Square Heroes…. You stepped up and acted. On behalf of my 95 year old mother, and my immune compromised sister, and my first grandchild and those that take care of all of us, thank you for keeping the virus from reaching them. I want you on our team. JOIN the FORCE FOR HEALTH and become a STEAM AMBASSADOR on this project. Young people are making the difference for the world.
Bottom line: Many people, including us, will get exposed. Most will survive just like they had a mild cold. Some will get very sick. If we all get very sick at once, we don’t have the hospitals, equipment, and staff to deal with it and people will have bad experiences and some will die that didn’t have to.
If we slow the rate of spread, it may take longer for the infection to make its way through the neighborhood, but we won’t exceed our capacity to treat it and will have much better outcomes.
We are living in a once in a century event, that could have a good outcome or be the worse period in human history. But the actions to mitigate are simple.
It all comes down to what each of us does now.
Felling powerless and anxious. We all are, but we have the power of knowledge, skills, resources, compassion, and an education that has already given us the tools to understand this, and put together a plan to deal with it. With a plan or action and a routine, it’s much less stressful and gives a much greater chance of good outcomes.
