|Bio and Background||
Hi, I’m an ambitious undergraduate in central Pennsylvania, who loves creating from building cars, graphic designing, videography, drawing, painting and everything in between. I use my love of creating to help create visual media to communicate to others.
|Why I am a Force for Health® Member...||
I am one of the early pioneers of Force for Health. I have been part of this network since my years in high school. Helping with the content created in central PA from Colors of Huntingdon to the historic history of Altoona. My goal is to get more people outside, exploring their town, and creating a community of togetherness. We live in a world where loneliness and isolation are more prevalent t than ever before. It has impacted my generation in several ways, social media and endless entertainment. From the touch of your fingertip has separated people from seeing each other face to face, hampering social skills, and isolating us from real interactions.
I hope to use my skills to create digital content for the augmented reality portion of Force for Health Go will allow the bridge between digital and the real world transition.
|How I use the Force for Health Network Tools||
I use Force for Health Go to explore my town and local areas. Soon I will implementing meal and weight tracker to help me with my fitness goals.
Both of my parents inspire me to such a huge degree. They were immigrants from war-torn countries who moved to a different country to start a better life for their kids. Their work ethic has rubbed off on me and I look up to them every day.
|What would you like people to know about your community?||
Through all the farmers and country folks there are young, ambitious city slickers too like me!
|Some of the factors that have been challenging for me have been...||
The time to cook and prepare fresh hearty meals that hit my calorie goals. Every weekend I meal prep but it ends up being the same usual combinations of food, at least it hits all my nutrients.
|It's important for me to be part of my community's health because...||
The reason to be involved in the health of your community is because we are social creatures. We are all one under the same tree. It is important to take care of our tree and our fellows around us.
|Some of the strength of my community health factors are:||
With central PA being in the middle of “nowhere” we have a lot of nature around us, unlike the cold concrete jungles of the cities. There’s a lot to do outside, hike, bike and run in your Nike around the loving nature of Pennsylvania.
|Some of the challenges in my community regarding certain health factors are:||
Obesity is a common problem for America. In Altoona, there is an abundance of fast-food restaurants, but no little to no health alternatives.
|I believe I can help improve my community's health by...||
Creating content on healthy alternatives for viewers to see as they use the Force for Health Go app.
