About the Editors

    About the editors, Mary Alice Bitts is a book editor, a magazine editor, and a public relations specialist and online news content editor and freelance writer journalist specializing in arch criticism, education review in educational journalism, her music, art theater, and travel reviews. Feature articles, edited text and poetry have appeared in many publications, and she has earned seven “Women in Communications” awards for excellence in journalism and editing.   Her skills also include web design, small group instruction and grant writing. Ms. Bitts earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a BA in music from Marywood college. She is currently pursuing multiple master’s degrees from Penn State University in humanities, psychology and education with an emphasis on writing. She enjoys writing music, painting, designing jewelry, tutoring, reading, and traveling. She has studied in Australia and Europe and has taken medical supplies to Russia. She’s also designed the logo on the cover of this book, chance Connor chance, counters and screenwriter, speech writer, and journalist with a broad knowledge of news, political business, and sports.

Having earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism at Penn State University, Chance was a fellow of both the Knight Center for Specialized Journalism at the University of Maryland College Park in 1995 and the German press seminar in Berlin in Bonn in 1993, covering the reunification of Germany.  In December 1991, he became the Denver post lead reporter on the Oklahoma City bombing case, an assignment that earned him the Colorado press association award for best continuous news coverage in 1997.  A politically active person, Mr. Connor has worked as Press Secretary for the Henry Strauss for Congress campaign and Communications Director for the Dave Thomas for U.S. Congress campaign.
