Lung Cancer
This is your 360 Human Explorer introduction to lung cancer.

Lung cancer often begins as a small growth in the lungs, which have minimal nerve endings, making it painless in early stages. Using the 360 Human Explorer, we can see how lung cancer progresses through various stages:

– Stage 1: Localized growth within the lung.
– Stage 2: Larger growth that may spread to nearby lymph nodes.
– Stage 3: Spread to other parts of the lung cavity or mediastinum.
– Stage 4: Cancer spreads via the bloodstream to distant organs like the brain, liver, or bones.

Common causes include tobacco smoke, radon, asbestos, and other pollutants. Early symptoms may include coughing up blood or persistent coughing. Low-dose CT scans can help detect lung cancer early.

Be proactive about your health and explore these models to understand the respiratory system and lung cancer better.
