DEVVA’s Room LIVE S1 E1: Who’s Devva? and Disposable Humanity Film Discussion

Welcome to DEVVA’s Room for Leaders Engaged in Advocacy for Disabilites On-Line

Devva’s RoomLIVE is new interactive media series and public community experience, hosted by LEAD On! co-founders Susan Fitzmaurice and Gordon Fuller, and proudly powered and produced by The Force for Health® Network.
This series is a living tribute to the late Dr. Devva Kasnitz — whose passion was to bring the conversation around disability history, pride, and justice out of the ivory towers and into the hearts of real communities.

This premier episode will include 3 main segments:

1) 7:00 pm – 7:15 pm Executive Welcome:  “Who was Devva? and Why are we here?
2) 7:15 pm – 8:00 pm Disposable Humanity Discussion will feature producers Cameron S. Mitchell and David T. Mitchell, recently launched with much anticipation. They will discuss how their documentary reveals how 300,00 disabled individuals were the initial victims of the Third Reich, paving the way for the atrocities that followed.

This film is THE MOST IMPORTANT disability documentary that I’ve ever seen”–Andrew Gurza, Host of the Disability After Dark Podcast.

3) 8:00 pm – 9:00 pm ESTReplay of Devva’s Shiva and remembrances shared by the people closest to her in the disability community
