National Thyroid Awareness Month

January is recognized as National Thyroid Awareness Month, an initiative aimed at educating the public about thyroid health and the various conditions that can affect the thyroid gland, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, and thyroid cancer. The thyroid is a butterfly-shaped gland located in the front of the neck that produces hormones regulating metabolism, energy generation, and overall bodily functions. Awareness efforts focus on the importance of recognizing symptoms associated with thyroid disorders, advocating for regular screenings, and discussing treatment options.

To engage further, we invite you to watch a deeper dive video featuring Dr. Rob, who will provide insights into thyroid health. Additionally, explore our interactive human models to better understand how thyroid disorders can impact the body. Complete these activities to earn a special badge for your commitment to thyroid health awareness!
