This year more people than ever have already gotten a flu vaccine in hopes of preventing a “Twindemic” of both the flu and COVID-19.
Right now, it’s especially important for Latinos to get vaccinated since flu vaccination rates are typically lower among this group and flu related hospitalizations are higher. Latinos are also at a higher risk for type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular diseases which when combined with the flu can be deadly.
If you or someone you care for has not been vaccinated yet, there’s still time, but we must work to get the word out!
Together we can work to stop the spread of the flu this holiday season!
