Hosted by the You Do Matter Foundation, this impactful program empowers communities with vital health education and awareness. It features inspiring student leaders, health professionals, and advocates addressing key health topics like chronic disease prevention, mental health, healthy lifestyle choices, and health equity in New Orleans.
In partnership with Dillard University and powered by The Force for Health® Network broadcast, the event highlights voices such as our young Master of Ceremony Knight Norman, current students, like Keira Robinson and Anya Coffil, representing VillaNova; recent graduates, like Deric Thompson(University of Southern Mississippi) and Alejandro Bailey(TulaneUniversity) and expert panelists, Dr. Evangeline Franklin, MD,(Former NOLA Health Dept Emergency Preparation Director, Adjunct Professor, Author and Speaker), Dr. Robert Gillio, MD(retired Mayo-trained Pulmonologist and co-founder/Chief Medical Officer of the Force for Health® Network), Patrick Jefferson, JD (former Lousiana State Representative) and Charles Newson, PhD, MBA(Adjunct Professor, University of Texas Arlington) who share personal journeys and professional knowledge to foster self-advocacy and wellness.
A special highlight of the day will be the Force for Health® Hero Partner Award, presented by Dr. Robert Gillio, Chief Medical Officer, to Joshua Williams, Jr. recognizing his exceptional dedication and passion for advancing healthy STEAM educational initiatives that empower youth and communities.
Attendees will also gain access to free health screenings and valuable resources to promote ongoing community wellness.
