Chemicals in what we eat and drink, and byproducts of digestion of food, can sometimes be toxic. The kidneys act like a thermostat and if a level gets too high, it pulls it from the blood and dumps it in the urine. They also help regulate how much water is in your bloodstream. Did you know the darker your urine is often correlates to the level of dehydration because it is more concentrated as the kidney’s try to save water. The kidneys, ureters, and bladder are a very efficient sewage treatment and water conservation system!
