Advancing the DREAM

Advancing the DREAM - What it means to me

One of the major ways I see the effects of the health disparities is the mistrust that minorities, particularly African Americans “AA” have for healthcare professionals which is valid, considering the atrocities that they have historically faced in the name of medical progress. My way of advancing the dream is and continues to be showing minorities, including AA that they are are and should be able to expect proper medical care and the need for them to enter th medical field so that people of similar races and ethnicities can feel represented by healthcare leaders that look like them.

My Action Pledge to Advance the DREAM?

My actiom is to make healthcare education more accessible to those interested, especially those from disadvantaged groups.
