Program Overview
The Force for Health Network Pre-Apprentice Skills Lab prepares learners ages 14–24 for healthcare education and workforce pathways by developing foundational, non-clinical competencies. The curriculum emphasizes personal readiness, communication, teamwork, professionalism, safety awareness, care navigation support, and career readiness.

Rather than focusing on clinical procedures, the Skills Lab builds transferable skills required across healthcare roles and aligned with national education, workforce, safety, and technology standards. Some of the most important skills in the 21st Century Skills journey are briefly repeated here to reinforce them.
This is part of the Pre-Apprentice Program and Aligns with National Standard of Non-Clinical Skills for Personal Growth. These are applicable in most settings and careers including healthcare. These an introductory lessons designed to help them personally reflect on their own capacity and what they may need to work on.
