Healthcare Pre-Apprenticeship Course
Journey Overview
The learner will understand how health outcomes are shaped not only by medical care, but also by social, economic, environmental, and community factors. Health equity and population health focus on improving outcomes for groups of people while ensuring fairness, access, and opportunity for all.
This course introduces learners to the idea that healthcare professionals are part of a larger system that influences community health. Understanding population health and equity prepares pre-apprentices to think beyond individual encounters and recognize their role in promoting safer, healthier communities.
