Dear Activate Tucson members,
I am sending this email on behalf of a collaborative research team from Tufts University in Massachusetts and the University of Arizona, to invite you to participate in a research study called Catalyzing Tucson to Prevent Obesity. This study aims to increase capacity within Tucson to improve the health and wellbeing of Tucson residents. You have been invited to participate in this survey because of your role in childhood obesity or childhood health and wellbeing in the community.
If you decide to participate in this study, you will be asked to complete up to two online surveys that are spread out over a 9-month period. The surveys will ask questions about your perspectives and knowledge on obesity, and health and wellness, as well as your sense of passion and ownership and professional relationships around the issues, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on your work. Each survey will take approximately 25 minutes to complete, and you will be given the option to receive a $20 e-gift card to a vendor of your choice upon completion of each survey. The study team is only asking you to complete one survey at this time.
Please remember that participation in these activities is voluntary, and you can start participating in the study and then decide that you no longer wish to participate with no penalty at all. You can also choose to skip any questions on the survey that you prefer not to answer. All research data will be kept confidential, and only shared in de-identified and aggregate form. No data will be linked to an individual.
To begin participation, please click the following link to read the Informed Consent document, which will give you more information about the study, and start the survey: https://tufts.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0oyvvOnwCXjigVD
This link will be kept open for at least one week, so you have time to consider your participation, and/or ask any questions you may have. I am also attaching the same informed consent document here as a PDF.
If you have any questions, please contact the project administrator, Deanna Nappi at [Deanna.nappi@tufts.edu]Deanna.nappi@tufts.edu, or the study coordinator, Julia Appel at julia.appel@tufts.edu or (617) 636-6790. Thank you very much for your help.
Best,
Annemarie Medina
