Protective Factors Analysis

All parts of the community can help protect and nurture the health and well being of a person.   These are the friends and family, organizations, community infrastructure, and policy and environment.  Knowing where you have strengths and taking advantage of them will help you succeed. Use those resources and supports to be protected as you live.

Knowing where you don't have support or resources helps you to understand your risks and make goals and plans and acting to reduce them.

Create your Protective Factor Resource inventory and make plans on how to increase your protective factors and reduce your vulnerability.  As you answer the questions, you will create a list of resources you can refer to and use.
